- Search for “type to search” { bottom left }, go to “change sound card settings” and press Enter.
- Search for the recording tab in there

Diagnose the Microphone issue in App
most of the app has personal control on the microphone to adjust the Microphone sound level and mute control like in Skype, Google Hangouts, Facebook Video Chat, WhatsApp, Viber, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom Meeting.
So go to the App Settings and check the microphone settings. to fix the issue within the app.
Otherwise, I recommend testing microphone using the another app that might be one of the above lists.
If you are using the service through the browser then make sure the microphone is not blocked by your browser. enable the settings by clicking on the allow button.

How To Update The BIOS Driver?
As many times the microphone, not working issues are also related to BIOS update or due to driver issues. These issues also tend to sound errors or weird sound issues. To overcome, we would guide you on how to update the driver and install it.
Follow the steps to get the drivers updated :
- go to the Acer official site and check for the updated bios file.
- You have to format a USB key to fat32 and get it unzipped file on it.
- After this activate the BIOS utility, by pressing the <F2> key during the POST; while the notebook PC logo is being displayed.
- Check the flash utility on the last tab.
- select the update from the USB key.

How To Enable The Driver For The Audio Jack Of 3.5mm?

Windows do have a different setting for activating the microphone in the HP laptop.
To do so, check whether the microphone is not disabled. For this to perform, you can check the above steps performed that might be helpful to activate the internal mic.
